INTRODUCTION
As part of its international expansion strategy, Brighter Lighting officially made its debut in Hungary. The launchpad was the prestigious, historic Castle Garden Bazaar in Budapest, which hosted a gala concert celebrating the 45th anniversary of the legendary Solaris orchestra. The challenge lay in seamlessly integrating modern production lighting into a heritage venue while maintaining premium concert standards.
CHALLENGES
Architectural Integration
The Castle Garden Bazaar is a space with highly specific acoustics and a demanding historical aesthetic. The lighting had to carve out the stage design without overpowering the venue’s architectural character.
Concert Rig Balance
Lighting designer András Prákchs needed a system that could naturally balance clean front lighting with dynamic background looks, creating a cohesive visual frame for both the live audience and the cameras.
Market Debut Reliability
As the brand’s first major showcase in this region, the project demanded flawless, zero-failure hardware performance to prove Brighter Lighting’s high-tier technological standing in a competitive market.
SOLUTIONS
Choosing the X-Dot Wash IP fixtures allowed for a precise, functional split across the stage layout:
18 Units for Front Light: These provided an even, soft wash over the orchestra. Thanks to the fixtures’ high Color Rendering Index (CRI), the musicians were exposed cleanly and naturally on stage.
12 Units for Backlight: Deployed to build spatial depth and accent emotional shifts in the music. The wide color spectrum of the X-Dot Wash IP allowed the team to deliver rich, atmospheric states tailored to the orchestra’s legendary 45-year history.
