INTRODUCTION
Technical Optimization of a Lighting System for a Club Tour
The anniversary tour for the band LemON required a lighting system that could blend large-scale arena aesthetics with the tight logistical constraints of a club tour. The primary challenge was ensuring fast load-ins and load-outs without sacrificing visual versatility. Collaborating with lighting designer Tomasz Sierotko, rental company BST Technika deployed an extensive rig featuring 84 Brighter Lighting fixtures.
CHALLENGES
Club Infrastructure Constraints
A club tour means dealing with varying roof load capacities and limited rigging points. The production needed fixtures that offered high output with minimal power draw and structural weight.
Matrix Density
To create a dynamic, high-impact stage design, the system required a high density of fixtures packed into a very compact footprint.
SOLUTIONS
System Architecture
Deploying a unified Brighter Lighting ecosystem allowed the team to optimize the entire technical workflow:
Photometric & Optical Efficiency:
- X-DOT & X-DOT MAX: Combining these two fixture types delivered highly dynamic scenic looks and a wide array of mid-air and eye-candy effects.
Spatial Design & Rigging:
- X-BAR IP: Using these LED bars as a light curtain created a deep spatial 3D effect. Furthermore, the fixtures’ low weight allowed for exceptionally fast and hassle-free rigging during daily setups.
CONCLUSION
The LemON tour is a textbook example of touring efficiency. Implementing a cohesive Brighter Lighting ecosystem delivered:
High Output: The fixtures excelled in club environments, providing the punch and coverage necessary for a high-profile anniversary show.
Compact Footprint: The small dimensions of the units streamlined load-ins, strikes, and truck packs across all tour stops.
