INTRODUCTION
Sunrise Festival 2025, held at the Podczele airport, is undoubtedly one of the largest electronic music events in Europe. Over three days and three nights, the festival drew tens of thousands of fans to witness sets by global superstars such as Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Boris Brejcha, Charlotte de Witte, and Fisher.
The event was a massive logistical undertaking. The four main stages—Green, Blue, White, and Black—demanded not only elaborate stage designs but, above all, a bulletproof lighting system capable of handling a harsh, coastal climate.
PROJECT BRIEF
Technical Objective
The paramount goal was to design and execute a diverse and dynamic visual environment across four independent stages. The project had to match the immense scale of the event, delivering high-tier, immersive experiences for tens of thousands of attendees regardless of the stage they visited, while ensuring absolute resilience against the severe weather conditions of a marine environment.
THE CHALLENGE
Extreme Environmental Resilience
Each of the four stage sites at the Podczele airport put the equipment to the test. The fixtures had to operate flawlessly for 72 consecutive hours in grueling coastal conditions—ranging from high wind gusts and intense humidity to airborne sea salt.
Multi-Stage Performance Consistency
Whether on the Green, Blue, White, or Black stage, the system had to guarantee that each artist’s distinct vibe and performance narrative were amplified, elevating the overall audio-visual experience for the crowd.
Raw Light Output
Given the vast open spaces of the outdoor festival site, the intensity and output of the supplied fixtures were top priorities. The gear had to fully meet the rigorous technical demands of each individual stage, providing comprehensive light coverage across the entire venue footprint.
THE SOLUTION
Deploying 42 units of the Brighter X-Beam IP formed the visual backbone of the lighting design. Thanks to their ultra-narrow optics and high beam intensity, these fixtures served as the primary beams. Their reliability under extreme conditions enabled continuous, high-impact dynamic effects throughout the entire festival run.
24 Brighter X-Strobe IP units were seamlessly integrated into the stage structures to support the show’s most high-intensity moments. Delivering class-leading brightness, these fixtures were instrumental in building tension and punctuating key musical drops.
Incorporating 40 Brighter X-Dot MAX fixtures proved to be a game-changer for adding scenic depth. Functioning as highly versatile wash lights, they effortlessly sculpted the color landscape across the entire festival space.
Weatherproofing as Standard: The widespread use of the “IP” series fixtures across all stages was critical to the project’s success. This choice entirely mitigated the risk of failures caused by moisture, dust, or sand, guaranteeing rock-solid system stability over the grueling 72-hour festival schedule.

The sharp precision of the X-Beam IP, the explosive dynamics of the X-Strobe IP, and the robust output of the X-Dot MAX proved that the hardware can effortlessly keep pace with high-tempo DJ sets, throwing stunning visuals to the furthest corners of the festival grounds.
