CONTEXT & OVERVIEW
Ninja Warrior Polska is one of the most demanding TV productions in terms of scale. The lighting design for the latest season, helmed by Artur Szyman, required developing a system that could seamlessly integrate with the massive, multi-level obstacle course set. In such a challenging environment, deploying high-precision, high-output fixtures was critical.
THE TECHNICAL CHALLENGE
System Integration
Adding new fixtures into a massive rig of over 1,500 lights required absolute communication compatibility and rock-solid control protocol stability.
Broadcast Standards
Strict television requirements demanded completely flicker-free operation and exceptional color consistency across all cameras.
THE SOLUTION
To tackle these challenges, Artur Szyman integrated Brighter Lighting X-Beam IP laser fixtures into the rig. Their deployment relied on key technical pillars:
Ultra-Low Divergence Laser Optics: The laser source allowed the team to generate ultra-narrow, high-brightness beams that maintained sharpness and punch over long throw distances.
Advanced Control Options: Built-in support for DMX512, RDM, Art-Net, and sACN enabled rapid deployment, patching, and configuration.
CONCLUSIONS
Choosing laser technology was a direct answer to the need for razor-sharp beams that wouldn’t get washed out by the heavy amount of ambient light on set. The production proved that the X-Beam IP is a highly effective tool, even for the most complex broadcast rigs. Thanks to their reliable performance and stable parameters, Brighter Lighting fixtures fully met the strict demands of camera-ready television work.
